Running to a 34-14 Playoff Victory! The Drought is Over!

Enjoy this Die Hard Fans. Your support and dedication has finally been rewarded and how sweet it is. Other than the penalties the cowboys showed that they are a force to be reckoned with. They continue to improve and they are now the hottest team. They will be tough to stop because this team now has confidence and they are not afraid of anyone. Romo vs. his idol Brett Favre next week. This will be fun. Tell me fans, what does this win mean for you?

To me, this means the decks have been cleared. No more vices to hold them back. This win just solidified their place in the NFL amongst the power house teams. They now have the proof to show everyone that this isn't the same Cowboys franchise of the past 13 playoff winless seasons. Wipe the boards clean, a fresh start it is!

Thanks Raul. This is sweet! Of course now the bandwagon will come out. But we know who the true die hard fans are.

The big difference here is coaching. With Wade Phillips truly dedicated to defensive coordinator duties, and JG our offensive coordinator, you have a team coming together under two of the leagues best coordinators. What we NEED is perhaps to pioneer a new structure in coaching...the Executive Head Coach. When it's all said and done, the team needs LEADERSHIP. I pray the momentum and "back against the wall" drive that's consumed this team since the New Orleans game will propel us to a Super Bowl win. If not, the reason is simple. Wade is a great defensive coordinator, but this team has no "true" head coach in terms of motivating Cowboys to "win".

This is why I call for the ONE biggest move in franchise history. HIRE MICHAEL IRVIN AS EXECUTIVE HEAD COACH!

This would allow for defensive coordinators -- the best in the league -- to come and go in years and perhaps decades to come. But the one man universally agreed to have the most essential talent in football needs to lead this team -- Michael Irvin KNOWS HOW TO WIN. Michael Irvin KNOWS HOW TO LEAD. THIS is what we need. We're on a great run now. I hope it continues. I was sick to my stomach when Romo came so close to throwing that interception. It might have been a bigger turning point than just one turnover, cause it would have impacted the psychological momentum of this team. NO matter how much talent we put on the field, the game is ALWAYS determined in the minds, hearts and souls of the players who must EXECUTE on the field.

If you guys know a better person to LEAD this team to victory after victory, season after season than Michael Irvin -- I would like to know who it is.

THAT leadership and "knowledge of how to win" is what would distinguish Michael Irvin from all head coaches. We will always be able to hire offensive and defensive coordinators -- genius level guys, in fact. Wade and Jason's time will ultimately come and go -- hopefully after winning this Super Bowl. BUT WE MUST ALWAYS SEEK TO IMPROVE!!!!

However this year ends -- Super Bowl Champions or just one play/one game short somewhere along the way -- the ONLY improvement left to make is to put a WINNER...and man who KNOWS motivation and HOW TO WIN in charge as Executive Head Coach (or, frankly, as true "Head Coach").

That man -- the "winner" -- is Michael Irvin.

Meanwhile, Go Cowboys! Let's beat Minnesota and roll right through to a SB win. We're due. This team has the talent. Now we have the momentum.

I'm very surprised at the lack of comments on this website. All the positive fans should come over here and blog. at least you go away feeling good after a post.

This win feels so good!! For the first time in years I'm able to watch my favorite team in all of sports play into the later part of January. It,s hard to believe it’s been so long, especially when I put it into personal perspective. The last time my team won a playoff game my oldest child, who is 16, was just 3 years old. I’ve had 3 more children, who for the first time in their lives know what a Cowboys playoff win feels like. And this team! WOW! This team has so much momentum and to quote others, "swagger" going forward. No matter what happens for the rest of this year, this team will carry this victory’s energy for years to come. I see nothing but a bright future for this team. I Love Me Some Cowboys!!

a few interesting facts (I'm a bit superstitions so don't mind me)

1. In 1992 the Cowboys beat the Eagles by 24 points in the playoffs by a score of 34-10 and the advanced to the superbowl. In 2009 SEASON the Cowboys beat the eagles in week 17 by 24 points in what was virtually a playoff atmosphere.

2. In 1995 the Cowboys beat the eagles in the playoffs and advanced to the superbowl.

3. In 2009 the Cowboys beat the eagles in the playoffs................(fill in the blank)

So I'd say that it's a good omen that we beat the eagles in the playoffs AGAIN. The last 2 times we did that we went to the superbowl.......AND WON!

I'm in on your superstition. Any leverage that we can get will be helpful. So if you want to go with superstition who am I to knock you. Superbowl here we come.

On a different note, how about all the talk now about the boys. Hottest team going and such. I'd rather they keep bashing (ESPN, NFL network) and give us that extra motivation. I really must agree that this year feels very different from others. I actually feel like we could win every game or a least have a good chance to win. I will never lose confidence in this team and I have been a Romo fan since the beginning so my confidence in him at this point is very high. Fellow Italian helps his cause. I've always liked Farve but sorry man your gonna have a bad day on Sunday. The boys will make sure of that.

I think that Romo is Mexican and Irish or German no?, in any event I agree with you capper. I hope the media continues to diss Cowboys in some way. They have continued this last night by saying on ESPN that they still think that the saints and vikes are the best teams left in the nfc. I was glad that they said that.

THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!! Now let's keep this train rolling....put Favre on his butt - contain A. Peterson - and keep the offense chuggin' along...IMO Dallas should be able to throw the ball very well against the Vikes...they should be able to get pressure on the old man.....there's gonna be a tidal wave of emotions (and noise) at the start of the game - if they can manage to get a couple early stops and keep it close...IMO they'll pull away in this game pretty much same as the Iggles game...mt early prediction is Dallas 35 Minny 21
But i reserve the right to change that before kickoff...haha
GO COWBOYS!!!!

I don't know for sure about the Italian thing but it's all good either way for me. I'm just glad he is on our team. The way he keeps saying that we try and get better every game, go over what you did wrong and try to improve. He says that after every game and hasn't wavered. Could anybody disagree with me when I say that it is exactly what he/they have done. Feeling really good about this team. Hang on boys, gonna be a great ride. GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!
